* The list non-ROC sponcored events is based on the information provided by the USOF web site and corresponding club web sites. Please check with the meet orginizers if you plan to participate in any of these events.

Everyone is welcome! All meets offer beginner instruction, which is available approximately 15-30 minutes after the initial start. Signs to the starting point are always posted in the park.

For safety reasons, all entrants are encouraged to carry whistles.

The entry fee is $6 per map for non-members and $3 per map for members of the Rochester Orienteering Club.

Children can participate in the Little Troll Program by earning a sticker each time they participate. When enough stickers are earned they can send in their sticker card and receive a patch from the national orienteering federation.

For other events within a two hour drive of Rochester check the Central New York Orienteering club, Buffalo Orienteering Club and, only slightly further away, the Golden Horseshoe Orienteering Club (GHO) (based around the Niagara/Hamilton, Ontario region) web sites.
