Course Notes:
Cumming Nature Center is a very special place. An intense trail network close to the main building leads out to an uphill area crisscrossed by old logging tracks (mapped as trails). Some may be overgrown and look more like a ride than a trail. The hill drains to the main stream that bisects the map. This stream is not easily crossable and can be deep. The main streams and marshes are mapped but a wet spring has made some of them more prominent than the map indicates. Basically, you should expect to encounter muddy trails where the streams cross and expanded swampy areas.
As of 2 weeks before the meet the flora is just budding out and visibility was very good...I expect that will change with more briars and more leaf by event time. Contours and areas of pine trees, however, will not change significantly.
SIAC users AIR+ mode will be active.
