Ski-O - Mendon Ponds - Cavalry Lodge

When:  Saturday Feb 15th

Starts: 12:30 to 2pm, Courses Close at 3:30pm

Registration: 12:15 to 1:30pm

Courses Offered: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Long Advanced

Course Setter Notes:

Ski-orienteering rules: you are allowed to go off of groomed trails! If you take your skis off, they have to come with you.

Classic-only zone on Advanced courses: The trail around Quaker Pond is designated for classic skiing only. Please double pole or classic ski on this trail.

Grooming: I attempted to map grooming conditions from this week, but nothing is guaranteed.

Road Crossings: Advanced courses have several road crossings. Use caution and assume cars will not stop for you.

Conditions: Expect hard-packed and fast conditions. Use caution on downhills and in icy areas. Advanced Courses have a map flip

We are hosting this event in conjunction with RXCSF ski practice (1-3pm).  There will be a 'lollipop' course for kids (similar to a string-O but on skis).

Warm drinks and snacks will be available in the lodge.
